We're Hiring: Building Trades Paraprofessional (Technical Education Center)

Location: Technical Education Center – Building Trades Program

Are you passionate about skilled trades and supporting student success? Dickinson-Iron ISD is seeking a full-time paraprofessional to join our Building Trades program at the Technical Education Center for the 2025–26 school year.

This role supports students—including those with special needs—as they gain hands-on experience and prepare for careers in the skilled trades.

Position Highlights:

• Full-Time | 181 Days | 6.5 Hours/Day


• Wage: Based on ESP II Master Agreement Pay Scale


• Full Benefit Package Available


• Union Position | Non-Exempt

What You’ll Do:

• Assist students (including those with special needs) in daily lab and classroom activities


• Provide small-group and one-on-one academic and hands-on instructional support


• Operate and support student use of trade-specific equipment and technology


• Track student progress and document support as needed for compliance


• Help create a positive, safe learning environment in the shop and classroom

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in a skilled trades, industrial, or automotive setting


• Experience working with students with special needs


• Physically able to bend, lift (up to 40 lbs), stand for extended periods


• Valid driver’s license (may be required for travel)

This position may support students in Building Trades, Auto Mechanics, Welding, Mechatronics, or Collision Repair—flexibility is a plus!
