About the Role
The Company is in search of a Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to join their team. The CFO will be responsible for managing the accounting of the investment vehicles, approving net-asset-value and fee calculations, overseeing the valuation of securities portfolios, and managing relationships with various service providers. This includes fund administrators, prime brokers, ISDA counterparties, executing brokers, and custodians. The role also involves maintaining and reviewing the firm's and its investment vehicles' books and records, approving cash movements and vendor payments, and ensuring compliance with investment-management agreements and side letters. Applicants for the CFO position at the company should have a degree in finance, accounting, or a related business field, or equivalent work experience, with a preference for a CPA qualification. A minimum of 12 years' experience is required, with a background that includes previous roles as a CFO or controller at a hedge fund. The ideal candidate will have experience in hedge-fund tax and management-company accounting, as well as with international equity and derivatives, including total return swaps and credit default swaps. The CFO will also be expected to have experience in managing team members across multiple locations and time zones, and possess extensive working knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite, particularly Excel, Bloomberg, and QuickBooks.
