Position Overview:
Art of Drawers NJ is seeking a part-time contract
Custom Cabinet Refacing Installer with hands-on experience in kitchen cabinet refacingparticularly in replacing cabinet doors and applying veneer or laminate to cabinet fronts and sides. This part-time, independent contractor role is ideal for professionals looking to supplement their income without the burden of sourcing leads or managing sales..
To be an installation partner with Art of Drawers, you must have:
- A set of installation tools (e.g. basic handyman/carpentry tools)
- A valid Driver's License & vehicle large enough to carry materials to job sites
- A working mobile phone, laptop/computer with internet access
- An active NJ Home Improvement Contractor registration (or the ability to obtain it)
Key Responsibilities:
- Visit client homes for measurement appointments and installations
- Accurately measure each job prior to placing the custom orders. Submit measured jobs for ordering. Inspect orders from manufacturers prior to the installation
- Partner with our designers to ensure a smooth experience for the client from after the design process through the installation
- Build rapport / trust with clients in their homes
- Use Art of Drawers platforms to schedule installs, submit reorders or claims, process final payments, and communicate with our national installer and design network
- Ensure customers are thrilled with each installation
Qualifications:
- 1+ years of experience in cabinet refacing, carpentry, or related installation work
- Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
- Comfortable with computer and ability to learn and utilize our Art of Drawers Platforms
