Part-Time Billing Assistant

Spek Diagnostics Garden City, ID (On-site only)

Pay: $15$20 per hour, depending on experience

Spek Diagnostics is a locally owned pathology lab committed to delivering accurate and timely diagnostic services. We are currently seeking a Part-Time Billing Assistant to support our billing team with administrative and entry-level billing tasks. This is a great opportunity for someone looking to gain experience in medical billing or healthcare administration.

Key Responsibilities

• Print and mail patient statements and paper insurance claims

• Answer incoming patient billing calls professionally and helpfully

• Post patient payments, including credit card and check transactions

• Review and update patient demographic and billing information

• Assist with general administrative and billing support tasks as needed

What We're Looking For

• No prior billing experience requiredtraining will be provided

• Comfortable using a computer and learning new software (we use RXNT)

• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

• Professional, courteous communication skills

• Reliable, self-motivated, and able to work independently

• Willingness to learn basic HIPAA and patient privacy practices

Position Details

• Location: On-site at our Garden City laboratory

• Schedule: Part-time, flexible within standard business hours (approx. 1525 hours/week)

• Compensation: $15$20 per hour, depending on experience and skills

• Growth: Opportunity to expand responsibilities or move into a billing specialist role over time
