Overview As a Laboratory Technician I, you will play a key role in supporting daily Quality Control (QC) laboratory operations and ensuring a clean, safe, and well-organized work environment. This role involves handling laboratory materials and equipment, supporting media and buffer preparation, and maintaining compliance with safety and GMP standards. Primary Job Responsibilities QC Lab Sample Submission Management. Daily collection of dirty glassware from laboratory, operate dishwasher and wash material as needed. Perform weekly safety equipment checks of eyewash, fire extinguishers and safety shower through the weekly checklist. Maintain stock of chemicals and consumables/supplies in the lab, check for expired materials. Prepare needed buffers in accordance with SOPs. Generate quotes, POs, coordination and shipping of samples for outsourced testing, review, archive and provide reports as needed. Coordination of equipment, freezers, refrigerators and incubators for calibration with Facilities. Organize lab facility maintaining proper organization and cleanliness including solid and liquid waste management. Periodic pipettor verification and coordinate calibration with Facilities. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team to perform all duties assigned. Perform additional tasks assigned by Team Lead. Required Education And Qualifications At minimum - an associate degree in scientific discipline such as chemistry, biochemistry, microbiology, biology or biotechnology. 0 - 1 year of laboratory or manufacturing experience; experience in a GMP-regulated environment desired. Basic knowledge of laboratory equipment (autoclaves, balances, pH meters) and chemical handling procedures. Strong organizational and time-management skills with attention to detail. Ability to follow written SOPs and maintain accurate documentation. Effective oral and written communication skills. Ability to work both independently and collaboratively with a team. Physical Demands Must be present on site for all related responsibilities and be able to routinely perform activities as defined above. Must be able to stand for extended periods of time. Must be able to dress in sterile gowning in the form of scrubs and clean room coveralls. Ability to handle and work with potentially hazardous chemicals per standard operating procedure. Must be able to lift up to 30 pounds. Mental Demands Excellent oral and written communication skills. Highly organized with an attention to detail Must maintain a high level of alertness and acuity for analytical review and processing of documentation, daily. Able to work independently with changing priorities. Working Conditions This is an onsite position in Woodinville, WA. Extended periods of time on the computer. Extended periods of time on your feet. Working in a warm environment wearing sterile gowning. Working with chemicals per standard operating procedure. Estimated Base Salary $22.00 - $26.00 / hourly DOE It is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the pay range and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. The specific compensation offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including skills, qualifications, experience and location.
