About the Company

We are partnering with a leading, publicly traded company to find a talented Senior Tax Manager with strong expertise in ASC 740 and income tax provision.

About the Role

This is a high-visibility role based in Chicago , with the opportunity to influence tax strategy, work with a high performing team, and contribute to complex, global projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead preparation and review of consolidated and separate state/local income tax returns, including apportionment, modifications, and credit calculations.
• Prepare quarterly and annual ASC 740 provisions, effective tax rate analysis, account reconciliations, and related journal entries.
• Manage U.S. taxable income and deferred tax calculations.
• Review federal and state estimated tax payments and extensions.
• Partner with the International Tax Manager on foreign reporting (GILTI, FDII, BEAT, 163(j), etc.).
• Oversee and mentor Tax Staff, providing detailed feedback and development guidance.
• Monitor tax law changes and assess their impact.
• Lead U.S., state, and local tax audits; assist with foreign audits.
• Contribute to acquisition due diligence, post-acquisition planning, and integration.
• Support complex transaction analysis and other strategic tax projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Accounting; CPA preferred.
• 6+ years of experience in federal and state tax provision.
• Strong ASC 740 and global tax reporting expertise.
• Collaborative approach with strong cross-functional communication skills.
