Admissions Counselor

The Admissions Counselor is responsible for recruiting, counseling, and enrolling prospective students into Snow College. This position plays a critical role in representing the College to diverse audiences, including high school students, parents, community members, and partner organizations. The Admissions Counselor provides personalized guidance throughout the admissions process, helping prospective students understand Snow College's academic programs, student life, financial aid opportunities, and enrollment procedures.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

• Associate degree from an accredited institution.
• Strong interpersonal, presentation, and written communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively with diverse populations.
• Demonstrated organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with CRM systems.
• Valid driver's license and ability to travel extensively, including evenings and weekends.

Major Responsibilities/Duties

Recruitment & Outreach

• Serve in Juab, Sanpete, Millard, Sevier, Beaver, Piute, and Wayne County.
• Develop and maintain relationships with high schools, counselors, community organizations, and other key partners.
• Represent Snow College at college fairs, high school visits, community events, and on-campus programs.
• Conduct presentations and workshops to promote the benefits of attending Snow College.

Admissions Counseling

• Provide one-on-one and group counseling to prospective students and their families.
• Guide students through the application process, ensuring they meet deadlines and requirements.
• Counsel students on academic program options, transfer pathways, and support services.

Enrollment Management

• Track and manage prospective student leads using the College's CRM system.
• Meet or exceed enrollment goals for assigned territories or programs.
• Collaborate with faculty, staff, and campus departments to ensure a smooth transition from applicant to enrolled student.

Campus Engagement

• Assist in planning and executing campus visit programs, orientation sessions, and special recruitment events.
• Serve as a knowledgeable and enthusiastic ambassador for the College.

Administrative & Reporting

• Maintain accurate records of recruitment activities, interactions, and outcomes.
• Analyze recruitment data and provide reports to the Director of Admissions.
• Stay current on higher education trends, best practices, and Snow College updates.
