Responsibilities

Description

The Senior Analyst, Corporate Development will be instrumental in the development and support of Pactiv Evergreens strategic plans across all business units, with the primary focus around inorganic growth via M&A. The individual will focus his/her time on financial modeling, internal and external presentations, and due diligence for prospective M&A targets. The individual will also conduct extensive research and tracking around competitive intelligence, provide support for new growth initiatives, and provide analysis as required for various strategic initiatives. The Senior Analyst will be part of a dynamic team which works across the entire organization and has high visibility with the Executive Leadership Team (ELT).

Key Responsibilities

• Development and support of company strategic plans across all business verticals, with the primary focus around organic and inorganic growth
• Prepare in-depth analyses on industry segments, key trends and competitive dynamics
• Support and at times lead:
  • Financial modeling and analysis of potential targets, including valuation and financial statement analysis, NPV, and discounted cash flow analysis
  • Various aspects of the transaction process (opportunity evaluation, due diligence review, valuation, structuring, internal governance, and closing process)
  • Ideation of novel partnering strategies and creative deal structures
• Help establish key internal operational and governance processes for Strategy & Corporate Development department
• Help build and maintain Strategy & Corporate Development toolbox of external data sources and analytical tools as well as internal databases and templates
• Work closely with Strategy & Corporate Development team to establish and maintain relationships with counterparts, bankers, alternative financing providers, consultants and vendors

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree/4-year Degree
• 2-4 years of experience in Investment Banking or Corporate Development role
• Substantial experience in financial modeling and valuation
• Excellent quantitative, analytical and research skills with acute attention to detail
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Strong motivation and work ethic; ability to work independently and in a dynamic team environment across multiple functional areas
• Excellent time management skills as well as the ability to prioritize among multiple projects
• Confidence in presenting to management
• Work hours may vary in length and schedule (may include a non-standard work week)
