Engineering at Valon

We are building the AI-native operating system for regulated financestarting with mortgage servicing. Our system of record powers real operations at national scale, with $100B+ in loans, 500K+ customers, and AI agents executing real workflows. Our engineering team is here to power the software ecosystem to disrupt one of the most outdated and regulated spaces in the financial sector - the mortgage industry. Weve built out the foundation of a modern mortgage servicing platform that can accurately handle billions of dollars at scale, but were just getting started. Responsibilities

• Learn new concepts and technologies quickly and apply them to challenging problems
• Design and build robust and extensible infrastructure to handle evolving and complex federal, state, and agency regulations
• Dive deep to understand the inner workings of a highly complex industry
• Work with Product and Design to define the best experience for our customers

Ideal Background

• 0-1 year of software engineering experience building quality software applications at scale
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
• Strong communicator. Able to work cross-functionally to balance product and technical requirements
• Great at building scalable systems from scratch with a fast turnaround
• Experience with one or more of the following: web application development, mobile application development, building large-scale distributed systems, or infrastructure management
• Time management skills that will maximize efficiency in a fast paced startup environment

• Base Compensation Band: $130,000-$155,000

This Base Compensation pay range applies to our New York City located staff and may differ according to location.

$130,000$155,000 USD
